Village Bible Church Elders

God’s Word gives the oversight and management of locally gathered groups of Christians—a church—to men whom the Holy Spirit sets apart for this purpose; ideally a group of men—a plurality of elders. In the New Testament, the terms pastor, elder, shepherd, and overseer are synonymous with those who are responsible for training and equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and the ministry of the Word and prayer. Each of our elders are entrusted with the responsibility for the general care, teaching, and oversight of the church as a whole, as well as the individual oversight of specific areas of ministry.
