“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:31

At The Village Church we believe that the heartbeat of Christian missions work is driven by the Great Commission — the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the world! We believe that the work of the Great Commission is carried out by following what Jesus says is the second of the two greatest commandments, that is to love your neighbor as yourself (See Matthew 22:34-40, Mark 12:28-34, and Luke 10:25-37).

As we are drawn into deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, his love should flow from us, shown in any number of ways, to the people around us. And, whether across the street or across the world, the point of loving people should always be the salvation of the lost soul through faith in Jesus Christ or the building up and encouragement of fellow Christians.
