Starting in 1996, the first Sunday in November has been set aside as the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. A Sunday that we take seriously and join together with countless other believers in prayer!
Because of the freedom that the Lord has blessed us with in the United States of America, we have a hard time understanding and realizing the persecution faced by our brothers and sisters around the world. Despite this persecution, the work of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ goes on and souls are being converted from death to life because of the faithful work of the God’s people.
Join us on this special Sunday as we devote extra time to praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters worldwide. We’ll take a look at some of the work that is happening in heavily persecuted places, and introduce a new way that The Village Church is going be involved in the advancement of the gospel in these areas.
