The Byron Youth Ministry is heading to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to help sort and pack food for distribution to food pantries and shelters throughout the state. All 7th-12th grade students are welcome and encouraged to go!
We’ll leave from Byron Baptist Church at 8:15 and serve from 9am-12pm. Bring money for lunch as we’ll stop for fast food on the way home. We plan to return to Byron Baptist Church around 1:15pm.
There are a couple important instructions for volunteering at the food bank:
It’s a warehouse and can be cold, so dress in layers. You’l warm up once you start working
All volunteers must where close-toed shoes.
No holes or frayed clothing that could catch on equipment.
