“What is The Break?” The Break is a ministry to Byron Middle and High School students, and is able to take place according to the State of Michigan’s religious release time law, which provides for students whose parents sign off permission, the opportunity attend and receive religious instruction.
“What do students do?” We pick students at the school during their lunch hour, bring them to the church for games (9-Square, Gaga Ball, Basketball, volleyball, etc.), feed them a good lunch, teach them from the Bible, and return them to the school. Many volunteers help make this a fun and safe time and environment.
The 2026/2027 season kicks off September 29th for the Middle School!
The Break for High School (H.S.) meets the first and third Tuesday of each month (and starts October 6th).
The Break for Middle School (M.S.) meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Any student can attend at any time during the year! Students wishing to attend can get The Break signup/permission form from their respective school office. Once a parents/legal guardian signs it, they need to return it to their school office.
