Love Local

In Acts 1, Jesus told his disciples that they would be his witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria. Here at The Village Church this command of Christ shows us that we are to be making disciples by loving locally. We believe a biblical view of local gospel work begins with a healthy, local church; so the sending of elder-qualified men to plant healthy churches and to see other men raised up to lead and plant more healthy churches is a primary way to love locally. Through the generous giving of believers, a local church is able to provide benevolent help in times of need. Supporting and partnering with other local churches of the same faith and serving alongside other ministries, shelters, and gospel-minded organizations, is an excellent way Christians to take part in the work of the Kingdom right where they live.

Below are some of the ways we are involved in loving locally.

In partnership with Reach the Forgotten, every other month the Village Men have the opportunity to go into the Shiawassee County Jail and share the love and light of Jesus Christ with the inmates there.
