Known COVID exposure.

In an attempt to care for you, The Village Church, as well as possible, it is my obligation to inform you that on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, we had a person present for our Sunday worship gathering who has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual had no symptoms and no reason to suspect that they were sick while present with us. However, on Sunday evening a headache and fever kicked up and the person was tested this morning (Monday, November 16). This individual was not in our nursery care area, but if you attended the Sunday, November 15th, worship gathering, it is likely that you were in contact.

I am thankful for the Lord leading us to be mindful that this could happen and for the opportunity to pray as a church for this very thing. There will be more information in the next couple of days as to how we will walk through this season together. Until then, remain fervent in prayer for our church and for local churches, as well as for those who are currently fighting this virus.

Back in March when, all of this first started, I wrote to the church and shared these verses. I offer them here again in hopes of encouraging you with the precious and great promise of God's word: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” Psalms‬ ‭56:3-4‬

Grace & Peace,
Pastor John
